Carbuncle

Definition -

- Carbuncle Boil का Cluster होता है।
- यह एक Contagious Skin Disease है जो कि Body के एक Part से अन्य Part तक & एक Person से दूसरे Person में बहुत तेजी से फैलती है।
- ये Body में कहीं पर भी पाये जा सकते हैं, परन्तु इनके पाये जाने की सर्वाधिक संभावना Back & Nape Of The Neck (गर्दन का पिछला भाग) होता है।

Etiology -

• Staphylococcus Aureus
• Streptococcus Pyogenous
• Hair Pulling
• Poor Hygiene
• Friction & Blockage In Follicle 

Sign & Symptoms -

• Fluid OR Pus Filled Mass 
• Center Point White OR Yellow Color
• Red & Painful While Touch
• Weeping, Oozing, Crusting Formation
• Fever
• Itching

Diagnostic Evaluation -

• History Taking & Physical Examination
• Biopsy
• Skin Swab
• Blood Examination

Management -

Medical Management -

- Antibiotic Therapy -

• Vancomycin
• Gentamicin

- Warm Moist Application Apply करे
- Antibacterial Soap से Cleaning करो।
- Infected Area के संपर्क में आने वाली Clothing को Boiled Water से Clean करे
- Carbuncle को Squeeze नहीं करे
- Carbuncle को गंदे हाथो से Touch नहीं करे।

Nursing Management -

- Waxing & Shaving Boil होते का कारण है इसलिए सावधानपूर्वक Waxing & Shaving करके Boil की समस्या से बचा जा सकता है।

- Affected Area को साफ और सूखा रखें।

- मरीज को ढीले सूती कपड़े पहनने की सलाह दें ताकि Friction कम हो

- मरीज को तौलिया, कपड़े, रेज़र या अन्य Personal Items Share न करने की Education दें।

- मरीज को नाखून छोटे रखने की सलाह दें ताकि Itching से Infection न फैले।

- Infection Spread रोकने के लिए बिस्तर की चादर और कपड़े रोज बदलें।

Nursing Diagnosis -

(1). Pain Related To Inflammation of Hai & Pus Formation.

(2). Impaired Skin Integrity Related To Itching, Poor Hygiene.

(3). Risk For Infection Related To Contagious Skin Infection.

(4). Knowledge Deficit Related To Confusion, Increase Doubt Regarding Disease & There Treatment.
